| - The Married Men Heya everyone
*waits for everyone to recover from the shock of the fact that something new has been posted.*
It's a boring day at school and i'm waiting for a friend of mine to come and meet me in the computer lab. so i decided to post something here and see what happened....
Lots has happened since the last time i posted. i don't really know where to start anymore.
I now play with 4 bands - dr payne and the disease (the funk/rock/fusion band who's blog can be found HERE ) the Toronto All Star Big Band, as well as two bands at school. Next week i go to record some jazz with a trio setting, and hopefully get some playing dinner music for rich people gigs.
I have spoken very rarely to all of you... i am never on msn anymore, mostly because i am never home. in fact, i have not slept at home once in the last 8 days. Most nights i am at school till late, rehearsing or studying for finals, and so i crash with friends who live in residence, or closer to the school. on the few nights when i AM downtown, i stay with my boy, since it's the only time i get to see him.... this weekend i had a late night rehearsal friday night, and rocky horror, which yes i still go to, but not as a "groupie" anymore.... saturday, the disease played a wedding in Stratford Ont.... I slept for about 3 hours on the floor of our bass player's parent's house, before jetting back to toronto for an 11 am call for a show wiht the swing band.... such is my life in post-harbord C.I. world. I couldn't be happier (well.. yes i could.. if i had money for alchohol and wasn't suffering from the beginnings of laryngitis, less than a week before my final recital, i'd be fine!)
I'm leaving the country Dec 20.. and not coming back till after the new year.... andrew, fungus thanks for the invite to your party, happy birthday in advance to both of you.....
in the new year, the disease is recording 6 original tracks and playing a lot of festivals where we intend to SELL said 6 original tracks. I don't know what's more challenging... trying to sing with the band, or being a part of the management/organizational team....
i don't know what else to say. what else should i be telling you all?
